Supporting Adults with Disabilities Access Higher Education

The YMCA of Orange County provides opportunities for individuals who are Regional Center clients to pursue higher education such as Jr. College or College.

Specifications

• Support is provided based on your schedule Monday through Friday;
• Is for high school/GED graduates ages 18 and older;
• 1:1 service with a support staff who will help you reach your goals
• Must be referred by your Service Coordinator at the Regional Center of Orange County
• Pick up and drop off in the YMCA van as needed

Anticipated Outcomes

• Identify educational goals
• Gain skills as needed to reach your goals
• Participate in community interest that could benefit your classes and credits
• Facilitate class enrollment and/or activities
• Guide and Support schedule, time management and assignment tracking
