Working in Child and Youth Development (CYD), our staff interact and engage with every child that comes to our before and after school program in a classroom setting. Staff assist and plan the education curriculum. This is a great opportunity to jump start your career! Many of our CYD assistants ultimately grow to take on site lead roles over time, thanks to the training we offer to our exceptional employees. If your goal is to work part time and be the best assistant and/or teacher – that is great too!

Working in Health and Wellness at the Y, you will be responsible for quality one-on-one, and/or small group personal fitness training sessions and/or group exercise classes for all members enrolled in our membership program.

Working in Membership Services, you will serve a vital role in the success of the Y’s health & fitness centers. You should have a high regard for first impressions and a high-quality level of customer service. This role is often tasked with providing members with program and membership information and registration needs, as well as administrative support to all departments, maintaining the lobby area and communicating any “need to know” information to the necessary parties, including members and staff.
Position Information: Flexible 4 to 5 hour work shift between the hours of 5am and 10pm. Must be 18+.

Working in Sports, you will be responsible for the maintenance of sports fields, setup and removal of sports equipment, and supervision of program participants. Sports staff must have the capacity and experience to work with kids.
Position Information: The schedule for sports staff are typically in the late afternoon, early evening and on the weekends.
Positions Include: Sports Staff, Sports Coaches and Coordinators working in specific capacity, but not limited to basketball, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, swim, and softball.
Working in our KidZone provides an opportunity for you to interact and engage with every child that comes in the room through activities such as: playing a game, reading a story, helping with arts and crafts or doing a puzzle. Staff should be able to adjust and adapt to the different age groups of 2 – 11 years old.
Working in Aquatics, you will be responsible for greeting and checking in members, pool area safety, enforcing pool rules, and setting up and taking down equipment.
Position Information: Flexible schedule with availability to work as early as 5:15am and as late as 10pm. Age requirement is 16+. You must complete First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard YMCA Certifications. Additional certifications may be required for the position.

The Inclusion Program assists children with special needs or disabilities in becoming independent, engaged, and successful in their child & youth development setting. Our positive and supportive approach focuses on behavior management,play, social, and self-care skills development. While working in our inclusion program you will provide one on one support to children with special needs and developmental disabilities at our CYD locations. You will support children in re-directing challenging behaviors, positive behavior reinforcement, facilitate positive social skills with peers, and more.
The New Horizons Program provides safe and supervised recreational outings that offer social interaction, skill building, and life-long friendships for adults with developmental disabilities and special needs ages 18+. While participants are having fun, their full-time caregivers are provided with the “time off” they need to better care for their loved ones. Staff attend program events, including nights, weekends and overnight trips.
Inclusion Position Information: Monday – Friday from 1pm – 6pm. Youth age group is school age (5 to 12 years old). To qualify you must be 18 years of age. Preferred 6 months of experience working with children. Education units required.

Working at our Administrative Office, you will have the opportunity to provide support, development and expertise to our field staff in our health & fitness facilities, child and youth development programs and to our volunteers.

As a leader, you are responsible for all of the general operations of a Branch or Child & Youth Development program, which includes financial and fiscal development, program and staff development and planning & community outreach.

Be part of a YMCA Camp! You can make an impact by volunteering your time or becoming a staff member as a Camp Counselor or Activity Specialist. As a counselor, you will get your campers up and ready for the day! Counselors spend day and night with the campers leading them to activities, ensuring they are well-fed, dressed, and receive the much-needed sleep for the day! As an Activity Specialist, you will lead the camp group in morning songs, stories and encourage campers to try our many camp activities, such as archery, rock climbing, swimming, gaga ball, and arts and crafts.
