Camp E.L.K. has limited availability in Summer 2026 for groups of 80–140 seeking a full, traditional summer camp experience. These exclusive sessions include access to our complete range of staff-led specialized programs, from rock climbing and archery to arts & crafts, swimming, team building, and more. Food Service

Every great retreat needs great food! Our experienced kitchen staff serves three hot, high-quality meals daily, ensuring timely and satisfying dining for all guests. We offer a wide variety of menu options and can accommodate nearly any dietary restriction, allowing everyone in your group to enjoy delicious, nourishing meals throughout your stay.

Facilities

Indoor Dining Hall – Our dining hall serves as a central hub for meals and gatherings, offering a versatile space perfect for dining, presentations, meetings, and other group activities.

Campfire – Our campfire area features a spacious, well-lit gathering space with seating for up to 200 people, centered around a large fire pit, ideal for all-camp gatherings, meeting spaces, and versatile group activities.

Multipurpose Outdoor Gathering Area – This space offers bench seating in a woodsy setting, providing a versatile space for up to 200 people to gather, similar to our campfire area, but without a firepit.

Lodging

Camp E.L.K. has 10 spacious cabins – each accommodating at least 12 people – designed to support connection and community. The cabins feature bunk-style sleeping with electricity and heating for year-round comfort. Bathroom and shower buildings are centrally located around the cabin areas, providing clean and convenient facilities just a short walk away.

Specialized Programming

Our trained staff lead a range of activities, including rock wall, archery, team building, swimming, arts & crafts, and nature hikes. Guests can also enjoy self-led, organized sports such as gaga ball, volleyball, 9 square, tetherball, and basketball.

What is the weather like at Camp E.L.K.?

We are located just outside of Wrightwood, CA at an elevation of 5,700 feet. We experience all four seasons, from warm summers to snowy winters. Please check weather reports in the days leading up to your trip!

Does Camp E.L.K. have wireless internet access?

Yes, we do have limited Wi-Fi access typically reserved for your retreat’s leadership team. Due to the limited capacity of our Wi-Fi, it is not typically extended to the entire group. 

Do you provide linens/bedding?

No, guests staying at camp should bring their own sleeping bags or linens for a twin-sized bed.

Food & Beverage Information

Can we bring/cook our own food?

For safety reasons, we do not permit guest cooking at camp. You are permitted to bring drinks and snacks and keep them inside the dining hall. No food or drink (other than water) is permitted inside of the cabins to avoid attracting animals. We ask that you do not bring peanuts onto the property to protect individuals with life-threatening allergies.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

We can accommodate most dietary restrictions (lactose intolerant, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, food allergies, etc.). While our kitchen does not serve any items containing nuts, we cannot guarantee that Camp E.L.K. is completely nut-free. 

We ask that you inform us of your dietary requirements prior to your group’s arrival. We are happy to discuss any unique requirements for religious or dietary needs you may have – just give us a call. 

Pricing/Booking

Is insurance required for groups reserving Camp E.L.K.?

Yes. Liability insurance is required. Click HERE for a copy of our insurance requirements. 

How far in advance should I schedule to reserve and guarantee my dates?

To guarantee your preferred dates, we recommend scheduling as early as possible. Reservations are first come, first served, and many groups secure their session up to a year in advance. Because contracts and required documents take time to complete, it’s best to inquire sooner rather than later. 

How many people can Camp E.L.K. accommodate?

Camp E.L.K. can accommodate up to 140 guests. For off-season retreating, our minimum number of paid participants is 30 and for weeklong summer rentals, our minimum number of paid participants is 80. 

How do I schedule an event or retreat?

You may schedule your event by calling us at (760) 249-3822. Or, you may fill out our Inquiry Form to submit your initial request. A member of our team will contact you promptly to provide you with information and pricing based on your request. 

Is a deposit required to reserve my dates?

Yes, a 50% deposit is required to hold your dates. 

When is the final payment due?

Approximately 3 weeks prior to your arrival, we will request your final headcount to determine the balance due. Final payment must be made prior to your group’s arrival. 

Do you accept credit cards as a form of payment?

Yes, we accept Visa and Mastercard. Credit card payments are subject to a processing fee. 

Location/Transportation

Do you offer parking for guests arriving by private automobile?

We have limited free parking available for all guests and do suggest carpooling if at all possible.

We regret that we cannot accommodate large RVs or trailers.

Is camp accessible by bus?

Yes. Camp E.L.K. is accessible by bus, and bus transportation is preferred for groups of 50 or more. Buses unload at the front of camp, and our staff is happy to assist your group upon arrival. Please refer to the Driving Directions PDF for detailed route information.  

How close are you to a major airport?

Camp E.L.K. is located less than 1 hour from Ontario International Airport (ONT) and approximately 2 hours from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) depending on traffic.
