Sizzler Donates $2,000 to YMCA OC Afterschool Childcare Programs.

On November 7, 2024, the YMCA of Orange County was grateful to receive a generous gift of $2,000 from Sizzler for our Afterschool Childcare Program at The Oxford Preparatory Academy YMCA in Lake Forest.

This gift was the result of the Lake Forest Sizzler’s Cheese Toast Month, which is a fun initiative for the whole community and features fun activities, giveaways, free meals, and generosity. Across the US, proceeds from every Cheese Toast Melt purchased during September are donated by local Sizzler restaurants to a nonprofit in their community.

Ramiro Janacua, General Manager of the Lake Forest Sizzler recalled partnering with YMCA of Orange County in the past. Thinking of us kindly, Janacua did further research and was pleased to find that not only was the YMCA of Orange County operating just down the street at our Oxford Preparatory Academy YMCA, but also that we are an impactful, trusted, and integral part of the lives of children and families in the Lake Forest Community. Thrilled by the work that we do with our Afterschool Childcare programs, Janacua kindly reached out to our team to suggest this partnership.

We are so grateful for the Sizzler team’s thoughtfulness and generosity. This donation will allow us to better our programs, ensure children have nutritious snacks daily, and provide access for even more children and families to be able to benefit from our enriching Afterschool Childcare program at the Oxford Preparatory Academy YMCA.
