Esports at the Y is a curriculum-based approach to gaming in a safe, educational and fun environment facilitated through organized, multiplayer video game competitions.
What is the Esports Program?
The YMCA Esports program serves today’s youth (4th grade – 8th grade) by providing opportunities for ALL students to use Esports as a platform to acquire critical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in work and in life. Each season is 8 weeks, meeting 2x per week for 1 hour.

How Can Esports Benefit My Child?
Our curriculum supports students with a wide variety of roles, expands their skills, and helps them to gain real life experience for future career aspirations. Participants will learn strong character values in an educational environment supported by the Esports ecosystem pictured below.
The Esports ecosystem serves as a framework to better understand the workforce opportunities within Esports. This means that when we talk about engaging all students, we really mean ALL students. Rather than focusing on the 5-6 players on an Esports team, we are looking to introduce students to the wide variety of roles, expand their skills, and gain real experience in future potential career aspirations.
