SUMMER CAMP
Camps Run Weekly – 6/9-8/24
Ages: 8-13
Session 1: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Session 2: 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Our 5-day camps offer curriculum-based learning while also being engaging for kids who are passionate about video games. Each session will provide campers

Goal Setting
Team-Based Tournaments
Group up with peers and decide on a team name, slogan, colors, and logo.
Agree on roles for each team-mate, create goals for game performance, and practice throughout the week.
On Friday, compete against the other team for prizes!
3 Hour day will include:

E-KIDS
E-kids is our month-to-month project-based class to introduce students to the world of esports, technology, and computer literacy. Our September curriculum focuses on game design. Students will create their own video game characters, and levels, and learn to pitch a game to possible investors.
Days: Monday & Wednesday (Begins May 1, 2023)
Time: 3:30pm to 5pm – each session is monthly.
Cost: $275/Nonmembers or $225/Members
Ages: 8-12
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Champions League is a twice-weekly (Tuesday and Thursday) afterschool club focused on competitive gaming. Compete against other YMCAs’ programs, learn basic strategy in gaming, and find the balance between healthy gaming and a productive life! This class is designed to teach students lessons around effective communication, healthy gaming habits, overcoming stress, and goal setting for improvement over time.
Days: Tuesday & Thursday (Begins May 1, 2023)
Time: 5:15pm to 6:45pm
Cost: $275/Nonmembers or $225/Members
Ages 13-18
TEAM LEGENDS
Team Legends is our competitive gaming class for High School Students. The class includes training, goal setting, improving gaming techniques, and competitions against other YMCA Legends teams. We use the program Stay Plugged In to help our students create an Esports portfolio so that they can start their journey to collegiate esports
with specific scholarship opportunities only available to our students!

What is the Esports Program?
The YMCA Esports program serves today’s youth (8-14 years old) by providing opportunities for ALL students to use Esports as a platform to acquire critical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in work and in life.
How Can Esports Benefit My Child?
Our curriculum supports students with a wide variety of roles, expands their skills, and helps them to gain real-life experience for future career aspirations within esports, or outside of it. The class is a great chance for your child to connect with like-minded kids, with similar interests, while still following their passion, and staying on a steady path towards growth. Participants will learn strong character values in an educational environment supported by the esports ecosystem pictured below.

The Esports ecosystem serves as a framework to better understand the workforce opportunities within Esports. This means that when we talk about engaging all students, we really mean ALL students. Rather than focusing on the 5-6 players on an Esports team, we are looking to introduce students to the wide variety of roles, expand their skills, and gain real experience in future potential career aspirations.
